The Christmas Lights

On the 12th of Dec 2003, we unveiled our first Christmas tree and the twinkling lights were switched on, followed by carol service with local children from Copperworks and Lakefield School.

The Christmas Tree in the community garden Santa, Mrs Claus and Santa Jr. at the Christmas festivities

The Christmas Lights have now become an annual event and it is hugely enjoyed by all members of the community.  Our grateful thanks go to The Christmas Tree Farm in Salem Llandeilo who kindly donate the tree each year.  The tree is decorated by members of the Association and the safety fencing is supplied by Graham Williams; the tree itself is transported from Llandeilo by Huw Owens of Owens Transport Services.
Our grateful thanks to everyone for your help, we couldn’t do it without you!

The Loughor Brass Band Carol singing

The event has expanded annually and now includes a small fair, food vans and of course our special visitor..... Father Christmas!

We are well supported by the local school choirs and brass bands and the carol singing improves from year to year!  We hope you can make it to this year’s event.
