Activities

Before the Seaside Community Association came into being in 2002, there was very little community activity in the area and even less community spirit. We formed a strong committee using local people and enlisted support from many external bodies such as Foothold, Communities First and Carmarthenshire County Council.

We re-introduced one of the most popular carnivals in south wales - The Best in the West, which was an instant success and is now an annual event.

The Seaside Youth Group worked to produce a community garden and for the first time ever in the Seaside area, a Christmas Tree was erected and illuminated for the Winter festivities.

The Association also organises Autmun Fayres, Spring Fayres, Coffee Mornings and Public Meetings where the whole community can have their say over important local issues.
